This Privacy Policy explains what information SiteViewly ("we", "us", "our") collects when you use siteviewly.com and related services (the "Service"), and how we use it.
1. Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of information:
- Account information: email address, password (stored as a one-way hash, never in plain text), name and phone number if you provide them, and your plan tier.
- Preview link data: the target domain and IP address you enter to generate a preview link, so we can proxy traffic to it. We do not inspect or store the content of the sites you preview beyond what is technically required to relay the request.
- Usage data: basic view counts for links created through an account, used to show you analytics on your own dashboard.
- Technical data: IP address of visitors making requests to our service, used only for rate-limiting and abuse prevention, not stored long-term or linked to your identity beyond that purpose.
2. How We Use Information
- To create and manage your account, and authenticate you when you sign in;
- To operate the preview link proxy feature you request;
- To send account-related emails, such as email verification;
- To enforce plan quotas and prevent abuse of the free tier;
- To show you analytics about your own links inside your dashboard.
3. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with service providers strictly necessary to operate SiteViewly, such as our email delivery provider (used to send verification emails) and our infrastructure/hosting providers. These providers are only given the minimum data needed to perform their function.
4. Data Retention
Preview links and their target information are automatically deleted once they expire. Account information (email, name, phone number, plan) is retained until you delete your account or request deletion by contacting us.
5. Cookies
We use a single essential session cookie to keep you signed in. It is set as httpOnly, meaning it cannot be read by JavaScript, and is used solely for authentication — not for advertising or cross-site tracking.
6. Security
Passwords are hashed with bcrypt before storage. All traffic to siteviewly.com and its subdomains is served over HTTPS. API keys are stored as hashes, not in plain text.
7. Your Rights
You may access, correct, or delete your account information at any time by signing in to your dashboard, or by emailing us at admin@siteviewly.com to request deletion of your account and associated data.
8. Children's Privacy
SiteViewly is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated to active account holders where reasonably possible.
